Like this is any suprise, but man, the new Stereolab is so nice. Well on par
with Cobra and Dots&Loops. Put this in a playlist with Beanfield and Postal
Service and you'll totally forget about the collection of
dentistry-commemorative narcotics in your bathroom cabinet. Saw them live the
other night, super show. Less jammy and more songy than their last appearance.
Definitely feeling the loss of Mary Hanson, the backup vocals were just kind of
hanging absently in the air. I hope they find the right way to fill in what
they used to provide with melodic interplay in the vocals. Studio sounds good,
but live is not even necessarily missing vocals, but missing that tonal
counterpoint. But super super stuff, as always. walk, don't drive, to your
    nearest store.
