After over a year of doing catchthebreak.com we've decided that that format we
chose; mixes, reviews, links & charts, just takes up a little too much of our
time, hence the irregular updates.
So we've opted to go for a slimmed down affair, focusing more on the music
itself. From now on you can expect "The Playlist", our favourite music of the
moment. It might be mixed, it might not, it might be new, it might not. What it
will be though, is good music for the discerning listener and a collection that
you can leave playing from start to finish.
Of course, you'll still be able to get to our mixes and we've just got our hands
on an inspired little compilation from Bongo Ranks which crosses funk, soul,
jazz, hip-hop, reggae and dub. Mix #01, check it! We'll also be keeping the
usual links section, but rather than reviewing sites we're simply going to link
to them, just hold tight for that. And finally, for new releases and charts
there are so many other sites and resources out there that are far better than
ours.
We hope this new format will still hit the right spots, there's just too much
out there on the web to read so (from now on) we're just going to keep it short
and sweet.
So here's Playlist #1, and here's to the music...
