STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne (GMT +11)
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.htm (see below for global times)

    Hello all

Phil Broekelmann is an ambassador for German/Australian relations, with his DJing, radio and record label activities keeping connections with both countries. Now based in Munich once again, Phil is currently working with Compost Records as well as his new label Curl Curl which is already getting support from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Jimpster. After a brief set on last week's Stylin, Phil brings his intercontinental blend of beats and grooves to the Open Sesame decks this Thursday at Honkytonks.

Also joining me last week was techno legend Kenny Larkin, originally from Detroit but now working the comedy circuit in LA. He still seems to find plenty of time for music though, with 2 new albums finished this year, one for Peacefrog and the other - as Dark Comedy - for Rush! and Poussez, being a techno take on the blues.

This week, we have an interview and mix from San Franciscan artist, DJ and producer Romanowski, whose mixtape bought on Haight Street in 1997 was one of the soundtracks to my travels at the time.

    until then
    Ennio Styles
