Hey Nick, welcome to Rocklin (I live about 45 minutes away in the
foothills). Too bad you didn't arrive on the 25th instead of the 26,
because in Sacramento KXJZ 88.9 FM has a jazz show called, get this - "Acid
Jazz" - on Saturday nights (10-12). The DJ usually plays really cool jazz
jam band type stuff, including bootlegs that he or his friends supply. The
main focus of the show has changed accordingly since its inception in '95 or
so. http://www.csus.edu/npr/ajcdlist.html While you're in town, tune to
88.9 for good jazz after 7PM every day.

There are lots of relevent radio shows here. Check out KDVS 90.3
www.kdvs.org for Mr. Glass' show, as well as KVMR 89.5 and KPFA 94.1 for the
History of Funk with Ricky Vincent on Friday nights (10-12) (If it comes
in...bloody FCC, which supposedly protects the rights of radio stations from
interference allows a freaking (money paying) Clear Channel station to
change their frequency with no good reason from 94.3 to 94.1, effectively
blocking KPFA's signal most of the time) enough ranting, maybe I'll bring
this up in a separate post.

    Have fun in Sac-town,
    Peter
