    XLR8R ISSUE 74

Most of you who have been following the circular know that I'll soon be contributing music reviews for San Francisco-based XLR8R Magazine. What most of you don't know is that I've been chosen to be the issue's Future Jazz Guest Reviewer. I'm honored to have been chosen by a quality magazine that I have been a fan of for years, and I give my humble thanks to the people at XLR8R. Issue 74 of the magazine is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. this coming Tuesday January 20, and soon thereafter outside the states.

    ARTICLES IN MUNDOVIBES
The zine Mundovibes will soon be available in print. The web site recently went back online, so you can check out my recent interviews with the London-based trio Break Reform & dubmeisters the Al-Haca Soundsystem from Germany. Find them at http://www.mundovibes.com.  Be sure to check out the rest of this informative site, put together diligently by JC.

    On the decks:

    -Velanche (Urban Landscapes Radioshow)

-DJ Calyx (formerly of KCPR's WEFUNK)

It's free before 11pm, and then a small cover thereafter. Be sure to tell your friends, and come support quality soul music in SLO.

    FIN
That's all for now. Catch you next week, and hope you enjoy the music. Peace.
