uh oh, the elitists are out in force now!

if the musicians who play / record w. britney are "whores," does that
mean gilles p. is a whore too, because he's had her on his playlist
quite a few times? (trax like toxic, slave 4 u, etc.) ditto kellis, is
she a whore for touring / opening w. britney? (and we know gilles loves
    kellis!)

people love the new sector movements album, when just about every track
on it sounds like "urban" fm radio... what, ig culture's a genius, and
dr. dre, timbaland, the neptunes, dallas austin, and the like are
straight ho's, or maybe worse, hacks? (hack ho's?)

this "the masses suck" argument is so self-contradictory.
Consider this; in the 18th century, before there was any capitalistic
pop music business, there were thousands of composers out there. How
many of them can you (or u) name?

2, maybe 3? mozart and hayden weren't the only two cats w. powdered wigs
writing symphonies and divertimentos back in the day. Someone could've
said, "man, this system of patronage we've got really sucks... look at
all this boring music these guys like sussmeyer are writing."

"bad" music, whatever that is, has always existed. I don't agree w. the
adage "95% of everything is shite" either. the fact is, with all the
thousands and thousands and thousands of solid, pro musicians in the
world, only a very few have that special "something" that stands out
from the pack and bridges the test of time. The 20th century will have
its handful of artists that people will still listen to 100 years from
    now;

for my part, i don't like to let politics enter into my listening. I
    don't think, wow, omar sosa's great, too bad he's a commie. or, I don't
stop myself from digging a britney spears track 'cuz she represents the
face of modern imperialistic evil personified, and someone might see me
tapping my foot and think less of my underground hipness...

ps... to the main point; plastic saxophones are cool for coming up w.
free jazz, but they don't help much w. jungle or broken beat, entire
styles of music that could NOT have been created without technology. you
can't slice up a breakbeat or timestretch a vocal on a plastic sax.

question; are there more opportunities to listen to music now, or 20
years ago? Final question; what's a radio?

(ps a top marginal tax rate of 40% doesn't really qualify the "u" k as
socialist, considering the "u" s bounces back and forth between 35 and
    39%...)
