STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.html (see below for times)

    Hello all

Big thanks to Brad from the Nextmen for finding the time to drop into the
studio during their recent visit to these shores. Known for their
club-oriented hip hop productions like on their new album Get Over It, Brad
was keen to show that as DJs and as producers they are more versatile than
this. A couple of pages he shared with us from his CDR book showed a more
soul-oriented direction to come with collaborations with great vocalists
Karime Kendra and NZ's Dallas (aka Joe Dukie from Fat Freddy's Drop).

As for this week's show, there will be a guest, but again I can't say just
    yet ...

Meanwhile, we have managed to line up UK producer and DJ Landslide to join
us for Open Sesame tomorrow (Thursday) night at Honkytonks. Landslide was a
Drum n Bossa pioneer and now represents the broken 2-step breaks side of
part-drum n bass label Hospital. He has remixed the likes of Nitin Sawhney,
Kaidi Tatham, Ben Mono and London Elektricity and brings a diverse
collection of tunes with him to Melbourne. Hope to see you there - ask for a
Lyrics Born CD or 12" if you come. We'll have a few to give away thanks to
    Jam and Quannum.

    until then
