oops, sorry, forgot to sent this yesterday...

    =========================================================
Hi hi. 99 here. Big weekend! Let's jump right in, shall we?

For non-Philly-ites, a couple quick notes of wider interest.

Gush #1: Detroit producer and phlossaphur :Brownstudy is infiltrating and
permeating all corners with his new EP "Tell Me More About Bubbles", which is so
very fantastic. To quote, erm, myself: ""Tell Me More About Bubbles" is a
bouncy, thoughful snapshot of life before the fam, weighing love, money, no
money, dreams, auto theft, the soul-sucking nature of corporate wasteland, and
even some chin-stroking 'pon what Jesus would do. It's a very, very smart EP
sonically, lyrically, and stylistically, mixing goofy and serious, sublime and
silly, nuanced and simple, usually in the same phrase." Full review at
    http://www.beleza-music.org/profiles/bubbles.html with links to tracks!

Gush #2: Philly new-ish-comer Jneiro Jarel is popping up on playlists
EVERYWHERE. Congrats for getting airtime on Gilles and Benji B's BBC Shows!
Well deserved...his work is nuts! If you haven't check his stuff, run don't
    walk to http://www.jneirojarel.com.

Gush #3: Congrats to DJ Sezy and Lil Dave for representing Philly at this year's
Red Bull Music Academy in Rome! I'll be posting some of their stories, pics,
and MUSIC on Beleza soon. In the meantime, http://www.djsezy.com,
http://www.illvibe.net. So, so proud. :-D Philly is bubbling over right now.
    You can feel it.

Gush #4: Many many many thanks to my Canuck friends in Ottawa and Montreal for
taking excellent care of me for a week in the land where recycling is not
eccentric, but the death penalty is. I nearly didn't come back, but I had to
vote. We won't discuss that. *STOMP KICK CRUSH BASH THROW MONITOR OUT WINDOW*
www.sorryeverybody.com just about sums it up. But anyway, thanks so much to
Professor Squinty for getting me on @ Ghetto Kid in Ottawa, and Moonstarr and
Tashish for the wonderful hospitality and conversation, and sharing the tables
at a QPIRG benefit. This was my first time hearing Tash play and she KILLS it!
Moonstarr will be in Philly in Dec! Check out below. PS-next time I am getting
my beaver tail and vegetarian poutine! Canadian food is cheeky. :-)

Gush #5: I know I'm going to get beaten for mentioning this, but it's too good
not to. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission, right? Check out the
ever-excellent (but sometimes shy) Sirka Wednesdays 3-5pm on www.radiovolta.org
for a weekly dose of hot tunes new and old with a flow that connects the dots.

Ok, and to keep you locals busy for the weekend and beyond:

tonight but still represent with hip hop, broken beat, deep house, and
unreleased joints. Plus we're celebrating the release of the first sampler from
Amalgama Records' Del Alma comp. This sampler features choons by Akani and the
mighty Titonton (teehee! hint hint!) from the well-respected Miami/Puerto
Rico-based collective. Attention Producers: Open CDJ 10-11. If you create
within the musical universe of the styles we're playing, bring down some of your
newest creations to hear them out and get some reaction and feedback!

    And after that:
    Moonstarr & Dj Dialect + Thursday - Dec. 9, 2004
    THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9TH at AQUALOUNGE
BrokeN'Beat Radio, WAX!, and Public Transit present the Philadelphia debut of:
    MOONSTARR, DJ DIALECT
Everyone reading this list is well educated and probably knows the wonder of
Moonstarr, but for a refresher, this man may be the best brukbeat producer in
North America. His style has this inner bounce, an upward energy to it that no
one else can replicate. Amazing. Dialect keeps tings mad real at Brukbeat
Radio and holds down the ever-amazing Public Transit Records in Toronto. Be
    there or be [ ].
    Cover $5 before 12am, $7 after
    Aqualounge - 323 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia

I'm out of breath. Till next time!
