Welcome to the list. It's in a pretty slow stage right now - not much
more than playlists, gig announcements, and the odd capitalism v.
socialism discussion. But like all lists, it has it's ups and downs.
Been lurking myself for a while so here are three things that are
tickling my fancy at the moment and might be up your alley.
Butti 49 Habit (Exceptional) - jazz/funk/soul business with the
occasional broken beat and really outstanding drum programming.
Fertile Ground Black Is... (Counterpoint) - seven piece band from
Baltimore, MD USA that has their own brand of the soul/funk/afrobeat
stew. even some nice bluesy moments.
Build An Ark Peace With Every Step (Kindred Spirit) - cosmic ensemble
jazz on the uplifting tip. just right for these times.
Damn!Youth Style (Raw Fusion) - this might appeal to your rock style a
bit, but still has plenty o' funk. and some weird Swedish vocoder
    business.

groovedis.com probably has all three or will soon.

    peace,
    Peter

ps: To any SF heads who didn't go down to the freshly painted Top and
witness Afronaught, Daz-i-Kue, MikeBee, and Hakobo kill it on Saturday
night: I feel sorry for y'all! SF represented proper, right down to a
packed floor singing along to Bugz "Booty La La" as the lights came up.
Big up to Safe, Fresco, and XLR8R for the best kind of night.
