These numbers are compiled from our server logs. They are a relative ranking of shows on
Soul-Patrol.Net Radio and are an indicator of relative popularity of the audio programing
which appears on the site at any given point in time.
    Nothing more. Nothing less
I compile these rankings from time to time (usually twice/month) mostly for my own enjoyment,
but also so that I can understand what the trends are, relative to the listening habits of
people who happen to visit the site

Some interesting results this month so far...

    1. Impact of our Chat Sessions - Music that we have been featuring on some of our recent chat
sessions (Cooly's Hot Box, Mandrill, Candi Staton, Jimmy Castor). That's no surprise since we
have been doing a lot of promotion for the chat sessions + obviously when you have anywhere
from 15 - 30 people listening to something at the same time (perhaps multiple times) + when
you have those 15 - 30 people passing the link around to their friends, it's going to have an
impact. So what does that tell me??? Tells me that we will soon be seeing the appearence of
music from the Chi-Lites, Bo Diddley, Pookie Hudson/Spaniels, Krush, a second Victor Wooten
show, Jimi Hendrix, EWF, Will Wheaton, Julie Dexter, George Duke, Skip Martin, etc in this
listing over the next several months. (those were clues folks.....lol)

    2. Impact of the News - Seems to me that if you die or get in trouble with the law, people
become interested in your music (Tyrone Davis & Jackson 5)

    3. Impact of Black History Month - Overall volumes are way up. Soul-Patrol.Net Radio is
currently averaging about 1,000 additional listeners per day in February/05 over January/05.
At our current daily rate, we are primed to break the 100,000 listener mark for a single month
for the first time during February/05 (the shortest month of the year)

Anyhow, here are the rankings thus far for February.
