Another wonderful year of music in the books! Time to uncover the
underplayed gems for 2005. Tough to pick the top 5 this year, but I’m
very happy with the result. The label of the year for us was Kindred
Spirits out of Holland. Pure quality all year including 3 tunes on this
show alone. Looking forward to more from them in 2005, hopefully
including more from Heavy. On the party front Footprints returns on
Saturday January 22nd at the Rivoli(332 Queen St W). Join DJ Stuart,
General Eclectic and myself for a night of funk, jazz, latin soul etc.
Please come early to avoid disappointment! Movement returns on Friday
January 28th at Supermarket(268 Augusta) in Kensington Market. Join John
Kong, DJ Nav, Aki, myself and very special guest Moonstarr, as we do it
Movement style. All proceeds from this event will go directly to aid
those in need in South East Asia. Please come out and show your support.
Until next week, keep your feet firmly planted on that Higher Ground! JP
