    MAY 2005

    Well – This is the first monthly news from our camp since we opened the office in Chicago and also moved into our new Central London premises. Usually, like a fine Swiss watch, we send you all your essential information on the first day of every month without fail, but for April it was simply impossible – but one dropped month out of 36 ain’t a bad record…

    So – get ready to squint your eyes and diaries at the ready – because in the words of Eminem .. “this is about to get heavy”

    /////BEST KEPT SECRET//////THE GOSSIP///////

    If we could have chosen a month not to write out this newsletter, April would not have been a good choice. There were so many good things happening – CANDI STATON’s return to Europe after so many years, our launch of full operations in Chicago and North America (thank you one and all for the good luck wishes) with our Sonotheque residency and YAM WHO? tour, NICOLA CONTE’s first live date in the U.K and the first fully live Brazilian DnB show with DRUMAGICK possibly being the most exciting thing since the combustion engine…

    But – just when you think your life cannot get any better.. it does. A new DOMU album is just around the corner via Archive Records with a 12” sampler from that hitting the shops before summer kicks into full swing. Before that though comes the new BREAK REFORM album “Reformation”. As stunning as it is wondrous. Less is definitely more and we deeply hope that all the underground anticipation moves them up and away in the mainstream before long.. God knows, they deserve it. Dutch vinyl addicts KRAAK & SMAAK drop their long awaited album “Boogie Angst” via the London label Jalapeno Records. Does what is says on the tin really – bloody good considering the expectation after al their twelves.. FAUNA FLASH show some the cream of the remixes for others on their compilation “Worx – The Remixes” including Rodney Hunter & Megablast.

    Down at the South African H.Q, we have a new weekly radio show starting on Cape Town’s Mutha FM starting in June, hosted by Jon Henwood and Justin Slack..
