Clubs - Iceland

Some information on Iceland sent to me by Atli Thorbjornsson:

Yes believe it or not Acid Jazz clubs also exist in Iceland, specifically in Reykjavik. I thought I might let you know if anyone happened to be here at some point in their life. We have two clubs that specialize in the Acid Jazz scene:

Skuggabarinn: "The Shadow Bar" The most popular hangout these days for the in crew, plays solely Acid Jazz and Trip-hop. No real dj spinning vinyl yet (they say they don't need one 'cause they don't have a real dancefloor) but the music is good nontheless.
Ingolfscafe: This is a two storeyed nightclub with Acid-Jazz and funk music played upstairs with the occasional appearance of local Acid Jazz bands and Techno dance music blasted downstairs where the main dancefloor is.

Lastly I thought I might mention Jassbarinn "The Jazz bar" where the emphasize is on older classics and the crowd is also in their middle ages. Not much interest in the newer vein, but if one likes Miles, Bird, Dizzy, Ray and the likes it's aaight.
