I also did a considerable amount of lamenting a few months ago, particularly
when various publications were releasing their various charts and such
and I couldn't help disagreeing with a large amount of what I saw. Think
about it though, despite a large percentage of crap, which is _indeed_ being
released, there have been some damn fine records being put out as well.

Think well now.
Organized Konfusion, Beatnuts, Channel Live, The Nonce, Pete Rock & CL Smooth,
Brand Nubian, Alcoholiks (and more indeed) and on have all represented well
within the last year and I'm not even mentioning the brothers representing in
any of the International scenes, or artists like Blackalicious, Pharcyde, and
De La Soul who are scheduled for new releases in coming weeks and months.

If none of that excites you, thats your business, but things are not lost
as all that.

PS - The Japanese Hip Hop Home Page is now under serious production!
In our first issue we are planning a feature a special on DJ Krush
including an original interview (with photos by yours truly) covering
rare works and his third album "MEISO" (speaking of fine Hip Hop albums)
(magazine folks who are interested in publishing this, please contact me),
a complete Krush discography, a Krush chart for this month and all-time,
sound clips of rare tracks and a video clip from "Only The Strong Survive"
which features CL Smooth. As a sub-feature we will include a short
interview with Rhymester, a Japanese group who just completed mastering
on a track mixed with the Beatnuts for an EP to be released soon. Stay
tuned for more info.
