I have long hair (it goes around half way down my back), I wear clothes
displaying my nouvelle ironing approach (iron? what iron?), often with holes
in, I'm a veggie and I listen to '70's rock. BUT I also listen to jazz and
acid-jazz and prefer playing it to rock (though it's harder on the accoustic
guitar...and people don't dig it so much round the camp-fire)

Basically, try not to judge people's music taste too much on appearance.
I've stood up to play in enough jazz clubs and watched people almost faint
in fear that I might be some kind of throw-back rocker about to break into
'Whole Lotta Love' (great song but inappropriate at jazz standards gigs).
The dead-heads described sound very much as though they've realised what
I've realised, Acid Jazz is shit hot, end of story!
