I can highly recommend 'Batucada - the sound of the Favelas', a
compilation of tracks on Mr. Bongo records, sleeve notes by none
other than Snowboy. Worthwhile for the eponymous Ba-tu-ca-da, an
awsome eight minutes of Brazil mayhem.
On a whole different not, Orbital's new single 'The Box' was released
in the UK today, and is totally awesome, kind of Portishead meets
Goldie head-on. Any junglist sound with a zither and a harpsichord
on just has to be worth purchasing.
