My first experience with AJ came about three years ago. A friend asked me
over to listen to a compilaton CD he'd just picked up. It was "talkin'
loud two," and it featured some nice soul/AJ tracks, including gorgeous
traks from Galliano, Omar, Urban Species, Young Disciples and Marxman.
My buddy didn't like the CD that much so I bought it from him. That's
when I got hooked to acidjazz and U.K. soul.
Marc, I also remember Soul CD magazine. I bought the first one here in
Toronto, but never saw it again on the racks. It was a very well put
together mag and I miss it. :(
