I don't think many of the core members of the Skatalites are horn
players. I could be VERY wrong but I believe the drummer, bassist, and
one of the horn players are original members....the rest of the touring
unit changes frequently. I did sound for them a few years back at my
university....they were amazing. The bass player had this groove that I
have never heard before and I've never heard it since.....I just hope its
on tape somewhere.
