Speaking of the drum & bass unexpectedly popping up in new releases like
EBTG mentioned here, has anyone checked out the new single from Abstract
Truth called "Get Another Plan"? The band just opened for us at our last
show and gave me a copy and they told me it has just been released... As if
their cool jazzy live show were not enough, this single is UNBELIEVABLE. It
combines the smoothest Sade vocal-type acid jazz with horns BUT with a solid
drum & bass rhythm track and I don't think I've ever heard anything quite
like it!
Has anyone out there checked this out yet? I want to know what you all
think! Is there more stuff like this out there that beautifully combines
drm&bass+acid jazz?
FYI: The record I have says it's on "StreetWave" based here in NYC.
