ooh. bummer. try plug's "drum'n'bass for papa", or the Logical
Progression compilation (there's ol' bukem again) for album of the year.

in a similar style are omni trio and ez-rollers, both of whom released
excellent albums on the Moving Shadow label this year (and the omni trio
lp is domestic on sm:)e)

better beats, smoother moods and more melodic on the whole. sure, there
are some lame tracks, but they are worth owning for what they've got...

also -- you may have heard the Kruder & Dorfmeister rmx of "Jazz Master"
which in my opinion is absolutely fucking essential.

more top tracks in this genre:

-PFM "for all of us/the mystics"
-Q-Project "solar system" (both of these were just released on good
looking as a split cd..four tracks)
-v/a Storm From The East (compilation on moving shadow -- all very nice
vibey smooth d'n'b from the likes of ez-rollers and the godlike PFM)
-dj pulse "streetplayer" on al's records(reece's label)...(you can get
this on cd as well)

these are the current pick of the crop. very very very nice.
