Well Lisa Stansfield is finally out. Its not bad, but one
disappointment was the obvious attempt at crossover appeal.
Namely USA. The strings and horns are still there, but the
beats/music sound like a lot of stuff on the radio today. One
thing I used to love about Lisa's sound was that it wasnt
          Americanized.

I havent seen anyone mention it yet, but at the HMV in NYC they
were giving away free limited edition Interview CD's with all
purchases. The interview is quite interesting tho the editing is
terrible. Probably for release signing reasons, the interviewer's
questions were edited out and all you hear is Lisa answering
questions after odd pregnant pauses. Interesting interview
talking about her life, career, previous albums and the making of
the current one. They should have included snippets of some of
the album tracks so that the public could *really* run out and
buy it. I think that would have made it a much more effective
          promotional tool.

She mentions in the interview that the director of "Indecent
Proposal" sought her out after seeing a poster of her and got her
to audition... She audidtioned and ultimately Demi Moore got the
part as we all know, but I thought it was interesting trivia.

She also speaks of the making of the cover "Baby Come Back",
which ONLY appears on the Japan version *grr*. Hopefully it will
surface as a B-side or something. I would love to see what she
          did for the song.

Anyone out there have opinions on the release, now that the US
          finally has it?
