Hi all,
I was subbed on this list years back, then subbed off. I lost my love
for alot of this soulful music as I found myself all wrapped up in
jungle and rave and such. But lately I've my acid-jazz albumns have
been getting most of the playtime (and rightly so!). But I need to
revamp my collection... it has been awhile. So I ask for for all of
your expert opinions on some new stuff I should get. I've been out of
the loop for about 2 years so please fill me in.
My 'older' stuff which I still enjoy: Greyboy, Solsonics, Rebirth of
Cool I-IV
My 'newer' stuff: M. Farina (can't get enough of his mixes / comps!),
jazzy jungle such as 'Shapeshifter' on the SOUR label.
Suggestions? I'd really like some tunes like the stuff on 'Mush Jazz
Vol. II'.
I especially would like suggestions on stuff that will make me 'sing out
loud in the car'... that Bill Withers track is an perfect example.
