i'm gonna give a second thumbs up for the superrappin'
comp--pretty dope. the thing that surprized me though
is that i didn't really like the cutz that i thought i
would (i.e., whassup w/that bahamadia cut?), but there's
other stuff that more than makes up for it--i'm away
from my record bag, or i'd give another example, sorry!!
picked up a 12" on smile of big muff "feel..." w/smith &
mighty remixes (1 d&b, 1 d/t w/inst.--both very nice!!).
the talvin singh mix of blondie's "maria" should be in
the bag too--ok, maybe it's a little too pretty for some
(i haven't been able to fit it into a set yet).
do *not* sleep on the freestylers remix single for "b-
boy stance"!! get the orange one w/the dub pistols,
robbie hardkiss & j-rock (not the beat junkie) mixes.
the grooverider & mulder mixes are pretty uninteresting,
the d&b mix on the original 12 is a lot better (i think
it's by click & cycle).
just got a 12 of black moon remixes for "got u opin".
it says that they're d&b mixes, but the best ones are
actually big-beat/breaks type mixes. they go well after
anything on the dub pistols' last album.
