And remember, the *first* acid-jazz list (a-jazz-l, everybody!) was on the
University of Hawaii server. I seem to remember that brief migratory period
when we all moved over to ucsd.edu...Also, there were many old-timers (me
included) who joined, left and joined again for various reasons (email
address changes, vacations or prodigal returns (Wassup Jonathan T? :)) so
any recorded "start date" wouldn't be very accurate.

Wow, October '93...I think I joined in November or December of '93, I
always thought the list had been around a while before I joined. I seemed
to remember I joined after posting a usenet message about "Acid Jazz music"
and someone out there replied and told me about some mailing list...

BTW, whatever happened to Mr. Beuthin, anyway?
