I received yesterday in the mail from Mark Turner (thanks for hookin' me up
Kimosabe!!!) the CD single of "Autumn Leaves" by Coldcut ZenCDs12 Ninja Tune
and to quote one of my favorite characters from the movie -Full Metal
Jacket- "Holy Mother Mary of God!, Private Pyle! Is that a
Jelly-Dought-Nut?!!!!! Damn this song ROCKS!!! I really do like the
singer's voice and I am sure there those out there in this Sonic Abyss who
can provide her name. I swear I have heard this song before when I was a
kid in the 60's. Tracks 1, 2 & 3 are of "Autumn Leaves" and then there is
horrific fodder tracks 4, 5, 6, & 7. "Autumn Leaves" is exactly just what
the Doctor ordered for me. I feel this, I like this and I will definitely
be looking for more music in this vein. It just makes my day to hear music
that inspires. God, this is Great!!!! Purple Haze and Happy Trails!!!
