I like both albums for different reasons. Blu's album
I bought first, and at least it's not all like her
first single.
But I agree, Lina's album is much better (is this one
available on vinyl?) I remember seeing a quick thing
of her on BET: Next, and remembering the name with the
face. I didn't get a chance to hear her in the show,
but immediately bought the CD when I saw it. Where
Blu seems to want to be polished in the Arista
tradition, Lina gets a bit rougher in spots, sometimes
sounding bluesy, sometimes cussing, and at least when
she says it, it doesn't sound forced.
