hi(gh) all.

saw mr. franti and his fellow musicians (aka Spearhead) last night
here in nyc...bottom line: See them when they come to your town.
excellent show...mostly selections from "home" were played, but
each was re-worked - nice effect on each...and the vocalist,
Mary Harris, comes thru loud and clear in concert (whereas, on the
album i feel she wasn't utilised enuff - now that i actually heard
her)...mr. franti takes the opportunity to preach a bit about AIDS
awareness (and that's fine by me ;-> ), and overall seems like a
very caring and "true" individual (just my personal observation)...
after the band left the stage, he came back to seranade - just him
and a guitar - but the guitar wasn't tuned, so he first sung "100,000
miles" acappella (different rap though)...eventually the band came
back for a few encore tunes, and i left in a very positive mood ;)
luckily, i was able to tape the show (me and my DAT) and can now
re-live the experience...
speaking of DAT'ing shows, i've been able to catch two groove collective
shows (i consider myself lucky to have these musicians around nyc quite
alot) recently and have heard some great new tunes from them...album
s/b out early next year (which i'm sure we'll all run out and buy ;-> )

peace / buddhahead.
