a decent little 30 minute program runs on VH-1 every
Sunday morning at 11:30 (i got SICK of watching the
McLaughlin Group ;-> )...it's called "4 on the Floor".
JD Considine (Rolling Stone contributor), Amy Grant (no,
not the singer - another music writer), Scott-Poulous
(can't remember his first name, but he writes for Vibe),
the moderator (can't remember his name) and one musical
artist...this makes up the "4" ;)
anyway, towards the end of the show, each panel member
was to name their favorite album from the past year...
Considine named the Chemical Bros album, and Grant gave
thumbs up to Tricky's "Maxinquaye". interesting though,
BOTH used the term "trip-hop" to describe the sounds...
is the media just afraid of the word "Acid" ? i'm guessing so....
thought this was interesting - just wanted to share.
happy holidays,
buddhahead.
