Thanks to all Aciders who reviewed the SciFix CD. Hope you found a tune or
two to enjoy, and if so, to spread the strange word. To all radio stations
that received it, hope you have a chance to put it on air (by the way, I'm
always open to do an interview thing, even on the phone). 1995 looks like a
very busy year for us, touring a possibly even a recording contract in the
works. If we come to your locale, please come up and introduce yourselves.
I'll keep you posted as to the schedule on-line. I have been educated by many
of you. When I first signed up, I thought "acid jazz" was a term that applied
to a necessary jazz musicianship in a representative ensemble. Many of you
said "no". Then I ventured that the term "acid" must mean either a hit of the
same or at least the ability to take an audience to similar relative
dimensions. Many of you said NO. I gues at first I resented the fact that I
have paid so much dues over 40 years to wear the term "jazz" legitimately,
but I forgive all who have used the term in vain for their own purposes.
After all, what matters is how we feel about ourselves and what we do about
it in the day to day. Anyway, please catch us when and if, and have the best
whatever whenever. Shamms.
