I don't know about all that, but they do have a very unique groove sound.
They opened for Greyboy Allstars on their San Diego leg of the tour and I
was amazed. It was one of the best live performances I've ever seen. I was
going to post their itinerary with a recomendation but I lost the little
slip of paper... They're from New York but they're in the middle of a huge
US and Canada tour.

> Medeski plays B3/Wurlitzer/Clavinet
> Martin plays acoustic bass
> Wood is a master hip hop funky drummer
You should mention that Medeski plays all of those instruments simultaneously
(at times). He really works up a sweat, jumping up and down on his seat and
crashing his arms down on rows of keys at a time. Hi hi energy. I think that
its him and Wood who were in the Lounge Lizards.
> How come no one here talks about them?
Dunno - not exactly sample-able, I'd guess. But they've got something like
three CDs out.
