-Ok so I was listening to some vinyl and saw the cover from afar but
-wasn't smart enough to ask what it was. The song kinda reminded me of
-9lazy9 or something, and the jacket was a comic strip with a picture of
-Clint Eastwood in one of the panels (I think). The artist had a "&" in
-it, I remember seeing that. Sorry it's so sketchy but I didn't get a
-great look at it. :)
Steve, the record you're asking about is on Delancey street records uk
and is by Beamish & Fly. The single is named "Stoked" Thats not Clint there,
but a chap with a similar hairline. Anyways, a good record, strong beat
and all, kind of sparse, and maybe a few too many samples. You might
recognize the opening three guitar notes of Killing Jokes "Love like blood".
Also Malcolm Mclarens "do you like scratchin?", a scratch from Hancocks'
"Rockit", and the Fat Boys "stick em".Well worth a listen in my opinion,
and kind of neat sleeve as well. Later, Brian.
ps -If you don't buy that "back to mono" now, you'll be kicking yourself
when you can't find it later...... it rips........
