hip-hop. good for mixing and get the hip-hop crowd moving. "Georgia" is my
favorite cut...
> Buddha Baboons
hip-hop with instrumentals. excellent dj tool, with steady beats and great
tracks. especially "heh ya heh", a very simple cut with a tribal touch. It
is a delight to mix.
> Control Freaks
yet another Clean-Up release, excellent as always. In the low 90s bpms, once
again a great mix-tool. B-side is a killer: "very serious smokin" (title
says it all) and "on the attack".
> Red Snapper
I liked the older "Snapper" track (featured on Dopes on Plastic) a lot. The
new 12" has a different, more up-beat flavor. Nice but more idm-ish methink.
> APE
I really loved one of the Dorado 12" that contains "Cities" and especially
"Talking Drum" on the b-side, but newer stuff has been to slow for me...
would be excellent in a chill-room though.
> Crustation
I like the "Foot Damage" EP, with 6 different mixes at around 100bpms. Will
get a crowd moving for sure.
> Diferenz
This one is a must-get. I had Michael at BadMood re-order it for me and I
think he ordered a couple more. GET IT! a dozen excellent tracks produced by
the excellent Roy Marquis II who, some will remember, brought us JazzConBazz
a couple years ago. Differenz "Jazz Workshop" is more dj-oriented though.
"Workshop at 8pm" is a my favorite I think, but all the cuts are so fun it's
hard to pick a fav.
> Hip-Optimist
On the up and coming Skint (sp?) label, the Anafey 12" is beautiful. 3 or 4
mixes, most are up-beat but the "Anafey 1/2 a submarine mix" is my favorite
at around 86 bpm. Once again great dj tool! sure to get someone come and ask
what it is when you spin it out.

hope this helped. I don't know where you saw those rekkids or who
recommended them but I know most are available from BadMood (orlando) and
Gramaphone (chicago) which is where I got them. They should all be pretty
easy to find except maybe the Differenz... they are all worth your money.
The Begging Billy Beats is very hip-hopey...
