You've touched on an interesting point, my friend. The Dead were "dead" to
acid-jazz. They never released as "acid-jazz", and as we all unfortunately
know, labels are everything in this buissiness. The Dead's funkt sound is
definately present in acid-jazz--you're right there--but they in no shape or
way were the the Dead >innovators of acid-jazz<, and I think you know that. :)
