*Check for "Respect The Architect" on Jazzmatazz 2 except Guru can't flow
in the style Bahamadia does. It's kinda funny to hear. This album is not
trying as hard to be "jazz" so I think it's a little better than the first.
Blackmusicmattazz.

*Also the new Raw Stylus will be out Sept. 12. Kinda pop-soulish like a
Repercussions but "funkier" (features Bernard Purdie on some cuts and
production from Bob Powers (ATCQ, Roots etc...)
*New Breed has "loungin'" (mellow stuff from their artists) and "Jumbo
Pack" (sort of a best of the label mastermixed by Smash).
*"The Jazz Head Trip" is a comp on City Of Angels/Moonshine is perfect for
those that got their knickers in a knot over foreign licensing because they
are all US artist, for the azz! My choice cut is "Daisy Rose" from Fiddlers
Dream, good vocals and weird frequency sounds.
*Jazzy Nice and Mitch Moses have a project to come out on C&S with a mixed
bag of soul, breaks, latin and more. Some pretty good stuff
*I love Soul Jazz records for new and rare shit, (equally I love
Ubiquity/Luv 'N Haight). Their new comp "Universal Sounds of America' is
collection of artists that have started or inspired community development
for African-Americans in the Seventies. Features Pharoah Sanders, David
Durrah, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Byron Morris, Sun Ra (I always wanted
"Space Is The Place" all 20+ min of freakyness) and more. Not a totally
"jazzdance" kinda thing this time.
*The Angel has "Step Into The Light" in many different versions from sweet
soul to jungle
*The new D-Influence is nothing but solid soul, not to be missed!
*Hunch is on 12" #2 on Clean Up, much the same beaty trippyness
*The Mighty Bop have a new double 12" with the Funk Mob on Yellow
*Hold on...ya ready...Shadow has put out US ONLY remixes of "Big City
Lover" (uses D. Byrd's "Think Twice") from Krush w/ extra bonus bits at the
end of side 2. Anyone gonna flame...LIGHTAAAAA!!!
*Jhelisa's "Friendly Pressure" (Dorado) is remixed on two seperate
releases! One is Housey and the other is soul/dubby. A video is also out,
shot in L.A.
