The July issue will contain an interview with Brian Greenway of April Wine
with experienced advice for new musicians, an essay on the unanswered issues
of the Whitewater scandal, tips on submitting demos, setting up a home
studio, cool artwork, classified ads, articles with a different point of
view, and much, much more.
The cassette included with the magazine contains some fresh new music from
independent bands the world over. This is not to be confused with 16 page
leaflets currently available on the net! Contact us on how you can purchase
your copy. But first, we invite your submissions:
1. Twitching Reality is seeking independent bands to review in the demo
showcase. All music received will be critiqued, space permitting, and you may
be featured on the monthly tape. Just
mail the cassette, with a lengthy bio, pictures, etc. to the address below.
Ensure that your name
(or the band name) and a contact number/e-mail address are on the cassette
label itself, and not
just on the case. We accept 4-tracks as well, but if you send one, expect a
re-mix! We dare to be
different! Please send the best possible recording you are capable of.
(Chrome tape or better if
possible). A complimentary copy of Twitching Reality will be sent to those
submitting work that has been reviewed. (A nice addition to a performance
resum.) *Submissions become the property of Twitching Reality and cannot be
returned.
2. Twitching Reality is accepting original editorial copy from musicians,
artists, and creative writers who have reviews, concepts, tutorials, or
innovative written works to share. Submissions in electronic form by e-mail
are preferred. Submissions sent by post or courier become the property of
Twitching Reality and cannot be returned. You will be contacted by Twitching
Reality if your work is accepted. A complimentary copy of Twitching Reality
will be sent to those submitting work that has been published. (A nice
addition to a journalistic resum.)
3. Twitching Reality is accepting classified ads for music gear to
buy/sell/trade, collaborations
wanted/offered, services wanted/offered, etc... FREE! Yep. FREE! Hows that
for supporting the independent scene! The only criteria is that it be no more
than 20 words (your contact number/e-mail is included separate) and it will
run a maximum of 3 issues unless renewed. Because of the flood of ads we are
expecting, we may have to change this policy. But until then... get your ads
in! (Legal stuff: Twitching Reality will not be a party to the selling of
pirated software or other illegal goods. Software must include all disks and
manuals. Twitching Reality reserves the right to refuse or amend these ads
and accepts no responsibility for typographical errors or losses from your
making use of this service. Trade ads are not accepted in our classifieds
section.) Sorry... Theres no free issue of Twitching Reality for submitting
your classified ads. Lifes like that...
4. Twitching Reality is accepting questions/tips & tricks for its Q&A
(Question & Answer) forum. Got a question that just cant find an answer, or a
tip that could save others lots of time, pain, and/or grief? Send it in! Wed
love to help...
5. Twitching Reality is accepting advertisements from music labels, venues,
bands, and businesses which cater to the readership of the magazine. Contact
Twitching Reality for ad rates.
