RE: ramsey lewis album

I disagree (though lightheatedly, yeh?) with you on this album. I think this
is one of Ramsey's best and funkiest albums (except maybe "Funky Serenity") and
it's got the assistance of the great Maurice White (of the great EWF). Plus
some of the drumming is really there.

Yup, the album is Sun Goddess. It's super cheesy jazzfunk, takes a bit of
getting used to and likely to cause you to go flush with embarrassment if
you're playing it for musically intolerant friends who say things like, "this
sounds like a bad TV theme" when you play Corduroy. It's way out on the
goofy meter, but dammit, I like it. I've heard better by him, however.
