| have you ever heard earlier stuff on new breed label ? it's pretty
| housier with touch of jazz, funk & soul. i think that they've finally
| found their style in business. there's also pretty nice label called
| shadow records. it should be dj smash's label, but i'm not so sure
| of it. anyway, those guys really got nice & raw style to put out
| good vibes !

I have the Fat&Jazzies and one or two others from New Breed but I don't
think they're older than Fat & Jazzy! If you can name some albums I'll
check 'em out - been to a lot of shops recently and never seen any
older New Breed than what I've already got :(

It's funny that you thought Shadow Records was DJ Smash's label, most
people think that it's run by DJ Shadow! In fact neither is true, it's
a division of Instinct Records and the subject of a lot of discussion
on this list about blatant commercialization of the music we love...
Well, I pointed out that I am a mindless consumer already, and since I
bought the very commercialized "Jumbo Pack", my feelings on this topic
should be pretty clear :) I'm buyin' if they're sellin'! Doesn't stop
me from goin' and grabbing more from the original labels too.

Just thought I'd throw this on as well - finally last week I sent off
my big batch o' tapes that I'd promised in trade to various people
(y'all should probably have em by now). Anyone else up for some more
mixtape trades? Mail me...

And tho I hear it's awesome!, I still haven't gotten my Bambi tape :( ... ;)
