Japan's most progressive free magazine "kNOB" is planning a free CD
project in the coming months. The concept, actually, is that "kNOB"
is a completely free form entity and you will not know what to expect
from it month to month. Sometimes it will be in depth, at others,
24 pages of photos, at others, a collection of postcards, or indeed,
a free cd. Of course, as a creator, it is my personal selfishness
that has pushed the possibilites of this project to the limits, and
we are about to give up on this CD idea unless we can come up with
a way of doing it within budget. Unfortunately, the organization that
regulates all music published for resale in Japan very heavily, and
therefore use of prepublished material, even independant Pure Sand stuff,
is out.
Would anyone on the list be interested in submitting any of their own
material in exchange for a few CD presses? Its a miniscule amount, I
know, but we're intending to distribute this thing free as well. All
interesting parties, please get back to me ASAP!!!
(People with stuff to send, please send your best tracks on DATs or
other copies directly to me at the following address. Non-published
material is strongly preferred. Incidentally, demos are also welcome
as Pure Sand are talking about looking at new artists in general)

PS - Dino! -> would Easybass be at all interested in participating in
something like this? Also can you send me _two_ of their tapes (originals
please) as I'd like to pass one onto Solesides.
