Well I just got back from my hols couple of weeks ago and
I have to inform you of this wicked Acid Jazz bar in Laganas
Zakynthos (Greek Island). In the sea of dross and tacky (English)
bars I found a gem. The bar is located on the beach front. (Outside
bar), dim lighting, comfey directors chairs to sit in. Cocktails to
sip. The music was K-ooL Herbie Hancock et al, also Massive attack
Portishead etc all the stuff we go on about on this list. Sooo layed
back it was fucking horizontal man! I was very suprised! The female
DJ (who was beautyful b.t.w.) was well up on the genre. She let me
look through her extensive CD collection! Shame she was married!!!!!
Anyways if any y'all get to this Island get on down to this bar...
you won't be disapointed!
On a different tip,
saw the Chemical Brothers Sat at Leeds Uni. They were
fucking kicking! (Even if they only played for 1/2 hr, however the
other DJs were pretty good...) You know that feeling you get when
you no longer can hear bass you are in fact at one with it cos its so
Fucking LOUD!! Sorry if these don't fit the AJ labelling system!
