Well, I finally bought the Money Mark lp on Mo' Wax. Its a mixture of
brilliance and quirkiness. Overall i'd give it a positive review. The songs
are all pretty short and several are really short. Sometimes its the brilliant
ones that are long sometimes its not. When they quit you're just left there
wanting it to go on. The second side is definitely the best (that would be
last part of the cd). Much more devloped song wise. He definitely comes up
with some funky rhythms and when he can draw them out then just sit back and
watch. The keyboardsmanship is really iffy and hesitant but it works.
The question i have is this; Who plays the instruments? It sounds like some of
the tracks have other players on them but there is no reference on the album to
any musicians at all. It doesn't say he played everything, but somebody had to
have done it.
anyone?
