That's a shame. I'm sure you rememeber I was jamming right there this
past May. I had the time of my life up there, though nervous as hell
because I never played to a crowd in another country before.

My theory about the low turnout is probably because the jam was initially
hyped up as an "All-Star Jam" with Acid Jazz label artists right there on
stage. I must admit I was a bit disappointed not seeing Simon
Bartholomew, or James Taylor or anyone from Mother Earth or whoever up
there, and I guess the rest of the crowd kind of got disappointed as
well. And maybe some of the musicians themselves got disappointed, seeing
the same people all over again. I'm sure many musicians use that as a
network forum (as well as to show off :)), and probably those that wanted
to find prospective band members for their projects had already found
them before. Or maybe it's that everyone's gone back to school/work now,
and doesn't have time on Wednesday nights anymore.
But still, you London folks are lucky to have that kind of funky jam
session, "All-Star" or not. I sure wish they had something like that here
in L.A., or even in San Francisco...
