'Electric Splanking' is pretty wack and 'Uncle Jam' is really only worth
it for 'Knee Deep' which rates up there with 'One Nation' as a funkadelic
classic. Phillip Wynne's (ex lead singer of the Detroit Spinners) lead
vocals on it a just right out there and the guitar solos at a round 9 -10
minutes are brilliant. Which is not surprising given George's habit of
releasing albums with one or two really good songs and the rest of them
being filler. The exceptions to this were 'One Nation Under A
Groove','Mothership Connection' and 'Funkatelych vs The Placebo
Syndrome'.
