DJ Food (in the US as Hedfunk) are DJ/producers Matt Black and Jonathan
More. I have no idea what a DJ Food show is actually like but I would guess
it would be a sound system type show (possibly heavy on the
DJing/turntables) with considerable amount of "mastermixing" (i. e.,
prearranged samples like "Whatcha need!" set to thrown over the music). I
do wish I could be there.

Relatedly, I recommend Coldcut's (Black & More) Journey's by DJ disc. I got
what I expected and liked it (my own personal taste follows Coldcut pretty
well so it was not surprising I liked it). I like to think of these works
as "symphonies" and think they should be listened to as whole works (if you
have the time). Not a lot of strictly acid jazz stuff but goes through a
wide range of music and a capellas. I really like the mbira music (I don't
have the CD here so titles elude me) with samples about worshipping human
beings. They do some interesting twists with their own old stuff. It
starts out abstract (some avant garde piece) moves on to some trip hop, then
on to some funky stuff with some African rhythms tossed in, then their old
stuff, then ambient (including a taste of the King of Bland himself Harold
Budd), then hip hop, then closes with the beats again.
