I've read the discussion on "funky easy listening music" with
interest. There has been a slow but steady hype of this kind of
music but I didn't expect it to go global. Anyways, I found a
book at the library called "Elevator music"(never took it home
so I don't remember who wrote it unfortunately). The book chronicles
so-called muzak and the actual Muzak company. Many of the artists
mentioned here on AJ are featured in the book with pictures of
records and partial discographies. I suspect there aren't many books
on this subject so it could be of use to some of you(if you can find
it).

Did a search at Internet Book Shop while I wrote this and came up
with the following:

Elevator Music

Lanza, Joseph
Publisher : Quartet Bks
Class : Music
Price : =A310.00

I'm not saying BUY THIS, but it does cover some neglected music
styles.
