great deal of info... lotsa things have changed since I left France in 1991 :)
Some more french acid-jazz: Cutee B (who also is a dj), and Bronco, both
featured on an LP called The French Connection (93?94?).
also very recently a new french production came out called "What's Up" with
track by DJ Chris from the Mighty Bop and a few others. get it, it's very
good, I don't think it's on the Yellow rec. label, but the cover of the 12"
is yellow and has a big footprint on it... and also the Malka Family
(fricassee de freaks, fracassee de funk).
Some more french rap: 93 NTM (Nique Ta Mere) which is pure hardcore rap.
Fabe form Switzerland I think, more hip-hop oriented.
mRk, if you ever need some (verbal) translations, just ask. I had promised
some written translations of MC Solaar to this list almost 2 years ago, and
it turns out I must be too fucking lazy :P plus, MC Solaar is pure poetry
with a pun on each word, it would be the job of an expert to try to
translate it well (je suis l'as de treffle qui pique ton coeur, carreaux-line).
