Josh Wink is a house/techno dj based in Philadelphia, part of the 611 Record
Crew. he's very recognized in the techno world ("Don't Laugh" for example
has been played way too much!) and although as a producer I don't find him
very impressive, I had the opportunity to check him out spinning in Philly a
coupla years ago and he kicks ass. He did that
repetitive-with-mandatory-build-up-in-da-middle track on the Towa Tei
Technova Mixes. In my experience and in the house world, Josh wink is the
flava' of the month as you put it. His side-kick, King Britt, is much more
respected in the acid-jazz world in the U.S.
