Hey-

The Turntable Terrornova EP is pretty good indeed, but another release Compost
recently put out under the name Fon-Kin is just as hot. It's a different sort of
animal, no 'trip hop' present, and the vibe is certainly jazzier. Some
interesting electronic tricks are present, but the 'what is live and what is
sampled?' attitude is evident. Moving, bossa nova-ish, certainly one of the
better all the way 'acid jazz' things I've heard lately. Also, as an added
bonus, the b-side contains a remix by Fauna Flash which is mellow and very nice,
and, incedently, my favorite cut.

Compost is an excellent label. Check the essential Beanfield "Charles" single
and the Future Sound of Jazz compilation if you haven't already. Top sounds
striking out of Germany!

Oh, and I may get sued by Mr. Craig Willingham if I appear to hold the 'raver in
transition' copyright, so please, Mr. Bambi, don't get me in any trouble here.
(Though by your description, I may in fall in the category... I like those 303's
mixed with my groovy beats!)

PEACE n LATERS
