I went to this event last year and it was painfully yuppie. It's
more of that 30-40 something, yuppie, jazz and white zinfandel
and non-fat vanilla latte crowd. The bands play in restaurant/bars
and you should check before you go to see if the bands that you
want to see aren't on at conflicting times. My guess is that Greyboy
will play with his Allstars, not at a different stage. There's a
restaurant there called Luna Park that Karl Denson used to play
at with his old band. And it used to be one of the Allstars
regular gigs when they first started. They'll be there for sure.
Also, unless they changed it, the street is open, but you can
buy a wrist band or something that will let you in to all of the
participating venues free of charge. (I think... it was a year
ago.) If you only want to see a couple shows, it might be better
to just pay the cover at the individual restaurants. Also, drink
and food prices are rather steep in that neighborhood.
If you go, plan to go for the music and then go home. The general
vibe of the whole thing is a little weak.
