The only stuff I've heard by anybody called the Prunes is on New Breed records...in fact they have a song which I've heard a few times in Giant Step that I was listening to in a record store a couple of weeks ago, I forget the exact title but I think the record, which was a compilation, was called Tracks from the Dark Side, but it was definitely New Breed, and if I'm not mistaken, they've appeared on some of the Fat Jazzy Grooves records as well.
Hope this helps...you might have a tough time getting New Breed stuff in Chicago.
