and about a lot of the 'essential' funk that didn't get any props in the
prograam, well, what did you expect? it's all big name and heavy hitters
(On the charts that is...) pbs isn't the source for complete chronology
of funk history... go figure. and if anyone saw the punk years, it's
equally slim on the goods of that era. has anyone seen better doc's on
funky music (besides the stolen moments) -- the real vintage 'doin' it to
death' funky shit i mean.
